Behaviour, language and the body is at the heart of young video artist Dafna Maimon's artistic reflection. For What Comes, she will present Disaster at the Couvent des Jacobins. This short video which will be presented in a continuous loop, Disaster depicts two men – one carrying the other on his shoulders – standing before the frozen image of an explosion. What comes is embodied by a disaster the origin of which is undetermined. The stillness of the scene and of the characters provokes expectation and questions : does this suspended moment have a « before » and « after » , is there hope of renewal after the disaster ?
