Davide Balula
Born in 1978 in Annecy. Lives and works in Paris.
Davide Balula is a musician, author and artist. He is developing a reflection around visual and sound devices. Sound - transmitted, perceived, recorded-is one of his favourite forms. The dilution of coincidences, exhibited in the Couvent des Jacobins during That which Comes, is an installation composed of various heterogeneous elements : laboratory glass-ware, red playing dice, a magnetic beater and some solvent. Through the cold aesthetic of the science objects, the work questions our relation with hazard and randomness.
