Francesco Finizio

Born in 1967 in New York.
Lives and works in Brest.

Francesco Finizio's work is nourished by both  well known and obscure trends in society relating to questions of strength, power, ecology and communication. For That Which Comes, he intends to work on the idea of a park (amusement park, theme park, cattle pen and human zoo) an encapsulation of life, an archive of the existing and  the domestication of the world. He takes over a plot of wasteland awaiting construction, where he produces different performances composed of objects and characters, the whole functionning  as a place for the projection of hallucinations. A succession of derisory visions inspired by our collective dreams and popular clichés. Promises of an ideal world which are not realised,  in this attempt to exhaust the ressources of the wasteland.
Images from this theatre of the absurd will be presented in a builder's cab opposite the Couvent des Jacobins.
